How do I become an independent Licensed Home Check Assessor?

    1. Complete the 2-day Home Check Assessor training course (with online modules pre and post course). Training course dates in 2019 are available, please see below.
    1. Successfully pass your 1-day validation day and checks (including DBS).
  1. You are then an Independent Licensed Assessor and can start helping people live well, at home, in later life.

What can I earn?

You earn £150 for every completed Home Check (£175 for weekend appointments) and get a bonus (£25) when you refer a client through to us that goes on to book a service.


Training Courses to become a Licensed Home Check Assessor

2-day Home Check Assessor training course  – £325

Day 1 (Module 1) – Age-Friendly Home Design
: Introducing the Design Principles and Good Practice methodologies of Age-Friendly homes.

Day 2 (Module 2) – Retrofitting for Later Life
: Looking at the practicalities, constraints and opportunities to make small and big adaptations to a home.

Validation Day and License as Home Check Assessor  -£250

Subject to the successful completion of the 2 day course (and a short interview during it) the Validation Day comprises:

  • Practical session introducing the Home Check process with a member of Living Well at Home Ltd and you undertake a moderated Home Check assessment of a Client’s home.
  • DBS Checks complete and you are ready to go! You receive your 12-month licence, a start-up pack and ongoing support and training from the Living Well at Home Ltd staff.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

You must be over 18 years of age to attend the training.

What’s the refund policy?

A full refunds will be given up to 30 days prior to the first date of the 2-day training course. After that a 50% administration fee will be charged.
